Hybrid: 50/50 , Hours: 9:30am - 5:30pmThe RoleA leading international law firm is seeking an Assistant Secretarial Services Manager to oversee the secretarial function within its Technology, Media, Competition & IP practice.
Managing approximately 20 PAs and Team Secretaries, you will be responsible for day-to-day people management, workflow, resource planning, mentoring and performance, ensuring a high-quality support service across the Practice Group.
Key Responsibilities*Manage and support a team of approximately 20 PAs and Team Secretaries.
*Oversee workflow, resource allocation, cover and day-to-day staffing requirements.
*Support mentoring, training, development and performance management.
*Manage annual leave, absence, new joiners and team processes.
*Work closely with Partners and Practice Group Leaders to ensure effective secretarial support.
*Review team structures, allocations and resource requirements.
*Lead process improvements and support the adoption of new technology and AI.
*Collaborate with other Assistant Managers and the wider Secretarial Services team.
About You*3+ years’ supervisory or management experience in a similar role.
*Professional services experience essential; law firm experience highly desirable.
*Strong people management and leadership skills.
*Excellent communication, organisation and workflow management abilities.
*Confident managing challenging situations with discretion and professionalism.
*Proactive, resilient and solutions-focused.
