Full job descriptionA well-established firm of Chartered Accountants in Bristol is looking to strengthen its senior leadership team with the appointment of an Audit Director, offering flexible working, a strong company pension, and much more. The successful candidate will take ownership of a varied portfolio of audit clients, providing strategic oversight, technical guidance, and commercial input at the highest level. You will play a key role in shaping the future direction of the audit department, mentoring senior staff, and contributing to the wider growth and profitability of the firm.

What is the day-to-day of the role:
*Oversee a diverse portfolio of audit clients across multiple sectors
*Provide technical review and sign off on complex audit assignments
*Lead, mentor, and develop audit managers and senior staff
*Drive business development and strengthen client relationships
*Contribute to strategic planning and the ongoing growth of the audit department
Required Skills and Qualifications:
*ACA or ACCA qualified with significant post-qualification experience
*Proven track record operating at Director or near-Director level
*Previous experience working within a UK Practice environment
*Strong leadership, mentoring, and people management skills
*Excellent commercial awareness and business development ability
