Stockport | Hybrid Working (2-3 days office / 2 days home)

£23-27 per hour

A well-established property business based in Stockport is seeking an experienced Assistant Financial Controller to join the team on an initial 3 month temporary contract.
Working closely with senior finance leadership, you’ll play a key role in supporting month-end processes, overseeing the purchase and sales ledgers, and assisting with the day-to-day management of a small finance team.
Key responsibilities:
*Supporting and driving month-end close activities
*Overseeing purchase, sales and general ledger functions
*Assisting with financial reporting and reconciliations
*Supporting cashflow management and balance sheet reviews
*Supervising and mentoring a small finance team
*Identifying process improvements and ensuring financial controls are maintained
About you:
*Previous experience in a similar Assistant Financial Controller, Finance Manager or Senior Management Accountant role in the UK
*Strong month-end and ledger management experience
*Confident supervising or managing junior finance staff
*Strong communication skills
*Able to hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment
*Available to start immediately
*Must have full right to work in the UK as no sponsorship is available
