We are seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a fast-paced automated distribution and logistics operation.
Working within a highly automated environment, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving the performance of conveyors including hanging garment conveyors, sortation systems, automated handling equipment, palletisers, bagger, labelling machines etc
This is an excellent opportunity for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer with am electrical bias with strong fault-finding abilities who enjoys working in a modern, technology-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer
*Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across automated distribution equipment
*Respond quickly to breakdowns and minimise operational downtime
*Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults on conveyors, motors, sensors, drives, pneumatics, and automated systems
*Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
*Work with PLC-controlled systems and assist with basic fault diagnosis
*Maintain accurate maintenance records using the CMMS system
*Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures
*Collaborate with operations teams to maximise site performance and efficiency
Experience and Qualifications required for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer
*Recognised engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, HNC, or equivalent)
*Previous experience within an automated warehouse, distribution, FMCG, manufacturing, or logistics environment
*Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
*Experience working with conveyors, sortation systems, or automated handling equipment
*Ability to work independently and within a team
*Strong communication and problem-solving skills
