Full job descriptionExperienced Cover Supervisors - Hounslow | September 2026Prospero Teaching is looking for experienced Cover Supervisors to work on a flexible basis across secondary schools in Hounslow, starting from September 2026.

The RoleAs a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes in the absence of their regular teacher, ensuring students remain engaged, focused and well behaved throughout the lesson.
Key responsibilities include:
*Supervising lessons across a range of subjects
*Managing classroom behaviour confidently and effectively
*Ensuring students complete the work set by the class teacher
*Maintaining a positive and productive learning environment
*Following school policies and safeguarding procedures
*Providing feedback to teaching staff where appropriate
The Ideal CandidateWe are looking for candidates with:
*Previous experience working as a Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, Learning Mentor or in a similar secondary school role
*Strong classroom and behaviour-management skills
*Confidence working with secondary-aged students
*Excellent communication and organisational skills
*A professional, reliable and flexible approach
*A genuine commitment to supporting students’ learning and development
