Freight Forwarding Operator - Requirements
*Previous experience working within freight forwarding or logistics
*Experience working in import or export operations
*Experience with air freight, road freight or sea freight
*Good knowledge of the freight forwarding process and documentation
*Strong organisational and time-management skills
*Excellent attention to detail
Freight Forwarding Operator - Responsibilities
*Coordinate and manage import and/or export shipments from start to finish
*Arrange bookings with airlines, shipping lines, hauliers, and other transport providers
*Prepare and process shipping and customs documentation
*Monitor shipments and provide customers with regular updates
*Liaise with overseas agents, customers, suppliers, carriers, and internal teams
*Ensure shipments are delivered within agreed timescales
*Track and resolve any operational issues or delays
*Ensure all shipment information is accurately entered into internal systems
*Assist with customs clearance an compliance requirements where required
*Obtain and check freight rates and liaise with suppliers
*Maintain strong relationships with customers and service providers
*Ensure all shipments are handled in accordance with company procedures and industry regulations
