Cameron James Professional Recruitment is delighted to be representing a highly successful, independently owned estate agency group looking to recruit ambitious Trainee Mortgage Advisors / Trainee Mortgage Brokers for its Brentwood branch.
Due to continued growth, the company also has Trainee Mortgage Advisor roles available within branches in Dagenham, Basildon, Billericay and Chelmsford.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has achieved their CeMAP 1 qualification and is now looking for their first role within mortgage advice.
You will receive structured training, ongoing mentoring, quality estate agency leads and uncapped commission, providing you with everything needed to develop into a successful Mortgage Advisor.

The RoleAs a Trainee Mortgage Advisor / Trainee Mortgage Broker, you’ll follow a structured development programme designed to take you from CeMAP-qualified trainee through to becoming a fully competent Mortgage and Protection Advisor.
You’ll receive a combination of formal training, on-the-job development and ongoing mentoring from an experienced Mortgage Sales Manager.
Initially, you’ll develop your experience across protection and general insurance advice, before progressing into full mortgage advice as your knowledge and competency develop.
Working alongside a busy estate agency team will also give you access to a regular flow of potential mortgage clients, allowing you to gain valuable hands-on experience while developing your sales and advisory skills.
Key Responsibilities*Work closely with the estate agency team to identify mortgage opportunities
*Develop your mortgage, protection and general insurance knowledge
*Build strong relationships with clients
*Manage customers from initial enquiry through to application
*Deliver excellent levels of customer service
*Generate new business from estate agency leads
*Work towards agreed sales targets and KPIs
*Attend training courses and sales meetings
*Develop towards becoming a fully competent Mortgage Advisor
About YouTo be considered, you’ll need:
*CeMAP 1 qualification as a minimum – essential
*Previous sales experience, ideally face-to-face or telephone based
*A genuine desire to build a career within mortgage advice
*Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
*Strong customer service skills
*A proactive and target-driven approach
*Good organisational skills and attention to detail
*Full UK driving licence
*Access to a vehicle
*Clear credit history and regulatory record
Previous mortgage advisory experience is not required.
This role is specifically designed for individuals who have achieved their CeMAP qualification but need an employer prepared to provide the training, mentoring and practical experience required to establish themselves within the mortgage industry.
