Full job descriptionA leading manufacturing business is seeking a Project Engineer to join its engineering team and play a key role in delivering plant improvement and installation projects across a busy production environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on engineering work and takes pride in delivering high-quality installations.
Working closely with engineering, production, and project teams, you will support the installation of new equipment and utilities, fabricate components and assemblies, and contribute to the continuous development of production facilities.
Key responsibilities include installing pipework and valves, carrying out boiler monitoring and testing activities, supporting contractors during site projects, fabricating bespoke fixtures and assemblies, and undertaking welding, brazing, soldering, and lagging activities as required. You’ll also help ensure engineering projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and with minimal disruption to production operations.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in stainless steel pipe welding, plumbing, and pipe fitting, together with a strong understanding of process systems involving water, compressed air, nitrogen, CO2, and associated pumps, valves, and CIP equipment.
