Full job descriptionA FMCG business is seeking a Purchasing Manager to join their team and play a pivotal role in shaping procurement strategies. This role is 3 days on-site and 2 WFH.
What You’ll Do:
As a Purchasing Manager based in Bolton, you will be entrusted with overseeing the entire procurement function for the organisation. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve:
*Developing and implementing purchasing strategies that align with organisational objectives.
*Building strong relationships with suppliers.
*Monitoring market trends and analyse supplier performance data to inform decision-making processes.
*Collaborating closely with internal departments such as finance, operations, and production to understand requirements, forecast demand, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
*Managing the end-to-end procurement process.
*Evaluating existing suppliers regularly by conducting performance reviews.
What You Bring:
The ideal candidate for the Purchasing Manager position brings:
*Experience in purchasing and / or procurement within a FMCG environment.
*Strong organisational, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
*An analytical mindset and excellent attention to detail.
*Managerial experience which fosters a collaborative and efficient workplace environment for a team.
*Strong excel skills, ideally you will also have experience using SAP.
