Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be supporting a leading advanced manufacturing business in their search for a Production Engineer to join their aerospace manufacturing team.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly regulated environment, where you’ll play a key role in improving manufacturing processes, supporting new product introduction (NPI) and driving continuous improvement across production.

Key Responsibilities of the Production Engineer:
*Develop and optimise manufacturing processes for aerospace components and assemblies
*Provide technical support to production, resolving manufacturing issues and improving efficiency
*Produce and maintain work instructions, routings and process documentation
*Collaborate with Design Engineering to ensure products are designed for manufacture (DFM/DFA)
*Support New Product Introduction (NPI), including tooling, fixtures and process validation
*Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventative actions (CAPA)
*Analyse production data to improve quality, cycle times and cost efficiency
*Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Planning and Manufacturing teams
*Ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards and industry best practice
About you:
*Degree qualified in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace Engineering or a related discipline
*Experience within aerospace or another highly regulated manufacturing environment
*Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as stainless steel forming, spot welding and riveting
*Ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
*Experience using core quality tools including PFMEA, Control Plans, PPAP, FAIR and APQP
*Strong problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset
*Experience working to AS9100 or equivalent quality management systems
*Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
*Experience with CAD, manufacturing planning software, tooling or process validation (desirable)
