Full job descriptionOur client, a leading Big 4 Firm, is seeking an experienced R&D Tax Manager (Costing) to join a growing Innovation Incentives team. Working across a diverse client base, you will lead the financial analysis and claim quantification aspects of R&D tax engagements, helping businesses maximise available incentives while ensuring claims are robust and compliant.

Responsibilities and Duties


*Lead the costing and financial analysis components of R&D tax claims
*Review financial data and identify qualifying expenditure
*Develop and review claim methodologies and calculations
*Work closely with Finance Directors, CFOs and technical stakeholders
*Support HMRC enquiries and information requests
*Review work prepared by junior team members and provide coaching
*Manage multiple projects and client relationships simultaneously
*Support business development and growth initiatives


Requirements


You will ideally hold a relevant qualification such as ACA, ACCA, ATT or CTA.


*Experience in R&D tax, corporate tax, audit or financial analysis
*Strong analytical skills and experience working with financial data
*Understanding of UK R&D tax legislation and claim methodologies
*Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
*Ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines
*Experience developing and reviewing the work of junior colleagues
