Our client is currently looking for a Children’s Support Worker able to work in the Ilford area. This role provides immense job satisfaction within a busy and varied environment, working with a range of professionals and directly creating positive outcomes for the young people you’ll support.
Salary: £14.00 – £15.00 per hour (paid monthly)
Working Hours:
*Full Time, shift based role on a rolling rota (Monday – Sunday)
*Day shifts: 8:00am – 8:30pm
*Waking Night shifts: 8:00pm – 8:30am
Essential:
*At least 1 year of experience working with children or young people in any care, support, or education setting
*Ability to advocate for young people and promote their wellbeing
*Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
*Reliable, professional, and committed to safeguarding practices
Desirable:
*Residential childcare experience – a major advantage for this role
*Level 3 Qualification in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
*Strong teamwork skills
*High level of integrity and emotional resilience

*Supporting children and young people in their daily routines
*Creating a safe, nurturing, and structured home environment
*Building positive, trusting relationships as a key worker
*Encouraging education, independence, and positive behaviour
*Working alongside Social Workers, families, and other professionals
*Contributing to care plans and independence goals
*Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised home
*Completing accurate records and essential administrative tasks
*Making informed decisions to support young people during shifts
*Working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver consistent, high quality care
