Full job descriptionWe are recruiting for an experienced IMPORT CLERK to join a medium sized freight company in Colnbrook. You must have experience working within freight and within imports including customs entries and clearances.
The Role
*Coordinate and manage air import shipments from start to finish.
*Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts.
*Arrange customs clearance and ensure all import documentation is accurate and compliant.
*Communicate with airlines, overseas agents, customers and hauliers to ensure smooth movement of freight.
*Track shipments, resolve any issues and provide regular updates to customers.
*Ensure all files are completed accurately and within agreed service levels.
*Update and maintain shipment records
*Work closely with the wider operations team to deliver an excellent customer experience.
What We’re Looking For
*Previous experience working within Air Freight Imports.
*Experience managing and supporting key accounts.
*Understanding of customs procedures and import documentation.
*Excellent communication and organisational skills.
*Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
*A proactive approach with strong attention to detail.
