Role: Learning Support Assistant
Hours: Full-time / Part-time opportunities available
Start Date: ASAP
Pay - £17.50 per hour (Umbrella)
We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and committed Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming educational setting in Newham.
The successful candidate will provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils, helping them access learning, develop confidence and make positive progress. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children and young people and making a real difference to their education.
Key Responsibilities*Provide tailored learning and classroom support to pupils.
*Work closely with teachers and support staff to meet individual learning needs.
*Support pupils with their academic, social and emotional development.
*Encourage positive behaviour, independence and confidence.
*Assist with classroom activities and differentiated learning.
*Build positive and professional relationships with pupils, staff and parents/carers where appropriate.
The Ideal Candidate*Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.
*Patient, empathetic and supportive in approach.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*Reliable, proactive and able to work effectively as part of a team.
*Passionate about helping pupils achieve their potential.
*Experience supporting SEND pupils is advantageous but not essential.
