Full job descriptionSharp Consultancy are delighted to be working with a growing manufacturing business based in Chesterfield, who are looking to appoint an experienced Financial Accountant to join their finance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional looking to develop their career within a successful and expanding international business.
The Role
Reporting into the senior finance team, the successful candidate will take responsibility for a broad range of accounting activities, including:
*Preparing accurate and timely month-end accounts, including P&L and balance sheet.
*Managing and reconciling intercompany balances across the wider group.
*Overseeing Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger and Cashbook functions.
*Processing bank payments and completing regular bank reconciliations.
*Preparing and submitting statutory returns, including VAT and tax.
*Supporting the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
*Liaising with external auditors and supporting the annual audit process.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
*An AAT qualification or equivalent accounting qualification.
*Previous experience within a broad accounting role.
*Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
*Strong written and verbal communication skills.
*The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
