Are you passionate about making a genuine difference in children’s lives? We are recruiting dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistants for primary and secondary schools across Hemel Hempstead starting this September.
Role Overview
*Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (Full-time & Part-time available)
*Location: Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire
*Start Date: September 2026
*Pay: £80 - £95 per day (depending on experience)
Key Responsibilities
*Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to students with EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans).
*Assist learners with autism (ASD), ADHD, moderate learning difficulties (MLD), or social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH).
*Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt learning materials.
*Build trust, encourage independence, and foster a safe, positive environment.
What We Are Looking For
*Previous experience supporting SEN students in a school, care, or youth work setting (preferred).
*Strong communication, patience, and adaptability.
*A proactive, resilient attitude with a passion for inclusive education.
*An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
