Job Description:
Full job descriptionAccountable Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a fast-growing, international organisation who are seeking to appoint an experienced Financial Controller to join the finance team on a 15-month fixed-term contract to provide maternity cover.
Based in Liverpool, you will work a hybrid model with 2 days per week in the office.
This opportunity is ideal for a qualified accountant who enjoys working within a dynamic, fast-paced environment and has a strong background in financial control, reporting and team leadership.
Salary/Benefits:

Job Duties:
*Lead the end-to-end month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
*Manage the preparation and review of journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.
*Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting, including P&L, balance sheet and cashflow reporting.
*Deliver insightful variance analysis against budget, forecast and prior year performance.
*Maintain robust financial controls and ensure the integrity of the general ledger.
*Act as the key contact for external auditors and coordinate the year-end audit process.
*Drive continuous improvements across financial reporting processes and controls.
*Support finance transformation initiatives, including system enhancements and process improvement projects.
*Collaborate closely with Finance Business Partners and wider business stakeholders to deliver high-quality financial information.
*Lead, coach and develop a team of qualified and part-qualified finance professionals.
*Support consolidated reporting across multiple entities and business units.
Who will I report in to?

When will interviews be taking place?
Interviews will be taking place as soon as possible.
Ideal Experience:
*ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant.
*Previous experience in a Financial Controller, Senior Financial Accountant or Financial Reporting Manager position.
*Proven experience leading month-end close within a complex or multi-entity environment.
*Strong technical accounting knowledge, including IFRS and UK GAAP.
*Extensive balance sheet reconciliation and financial reporting experience.
*Experience managing and developing finance teams.
*Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
*Experience working with ERP systems and finance transformation projects.
*Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver to tight deadlines.
*Commercially aware with a proactive approach to process improvement and continuous development.
