Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant to work within one of our partner schools in Northampton.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant or a recently qualified Level 2 TA who is passionate about supporting children and helping them reach their full potential.
As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to deliver high-quality support both inside and outside the classroom. You will provide targeted interventions, support small-group learning and, where required, offer 1:1 assistance to pupils who may need additional support.
The successful candidate will be confident building positive relationships with students, demonstrate excellent communication skills and have a proactive approach to supporting learning.
Key responsibilities:
*Supporting the class teacher with the delivery of lessons
*Working with individual students and small groups
*Assisting with classroom preparation and learning activities
*Supporting students with varying learning needs
*Monitoring student progress and providing feedback
*Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging student engagement
*Helping to create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment
The ideal candidate will have:
*A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience
*Previous experience working within a school environment
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
*A positive, patient and adaptable approach
*A strong understanding of safeguarding practices
*An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or the willingness to obtain one
