About the role:
We have 1 Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner role working with families in the community across East and South Kent.
Your base will be Dartford.
Flexible working, including evenings and weekends.
About Us
Kent Enablement and Prevention Service (KEPS) is a values-led service, forming part of the Strengthening Independence Service within Disabled Children’s Services. We support children and young people aged 0-18 who have learning disabilities, autism, and other complex needs, using Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) to make meaningful, lasting change.
Our work happens in homes and communities, where we help families build connection, reduce behaviours of concern, and improve quality of life. At KEPS, we pride ourselves on being there when it matters for the children, families, and professionals we support.
About the Role
As a PBS Practitioner, you will:
*Provide short-term, outcome-focused support to children and families using a Positive Behaviour Support approach.
*Complete PBS assessments and develop individualised Positive Behaviour Support Plans
*Be confident in teaching new skills to children, young people and their families.
*Be comfortable working independently with opportunities to come together as a wider team.
*Deliver intensive, practical support to increase skills, independence, and community inclusion
*Work closely with children, young people, parents, carers, and professionals to ensure consistency and collaboration.
*Promote an increase in quality of life for the young person and those around them
*You are committed to supporting and advocating for the reduction in restrictive practices.
This is a dynamic, community-based role that offers both flexibility and the chance to make a real difference.
About You
*A minimum BTEC Level 4 in PBS or equivalent (or willingness to work towards it)
*Experience delivering support to children and young people with complex needs and behaviours of concern.
*Understanding of PBS principles and practice in real-life settings
*Excellent communication and collaboration skills
*This role is subject to holding a full UK Driving

Licence. - travel across East and South Kent is required
