An excellent primary school in Doncaster is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis from September 2026.
This role would suit a teacher who understands the importance of early reading, phonics, and creating engaging learning experiences that help children develop confidence both academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities*Lead a Year 1 class and deliver high-quality teaching across the curriculum
*Use Little Wandle effectively to support phonics development and early reading skills
*Plan and deliver lessons that cater for a range of learning needs
*Support children with additional needs through appropriate differentiation
*Maintain high expectations of behaviour and achievement
*Work collaboratively with support staff, leadership and parents
We’re Looking For Someone Who:*Holds QTS and has recent primary teaching experience
*Has experience teaching in a Year 1 or KS1 setting
*Demonstrates a strong understanding of Little Wandle phonics
*Has knowledge of effective SEN support strategies
*Can build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues
*Brings energy, creativity and commitment to the classroom
*Possesses strong behaviour management skills
