Family Secretary Vacancy
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Family Secretary to join a growing legal practice. The role can be based at any of the firm’s offices, although an initial two-week training period may be required at a designated office.
Key Responsibilities
*Providing typing and secretarial support to fee earners within a busy, fast-paced team
*Setting up new appointments
*Answering telephone calls and communicating with clients and solicitors
*Participating in team meetings and suggesting ways to improve administrative efficiency
*Assisting with the development and maintenance of precedents
*Working with the firm’s case management system
*Liaising and collaborating with other members of the administration team
Person Specification
The successful candidate will ideally demonstrate:
*A high degree of autonomy and self-organisation
*The ability to use initiative and work proactively
*Previous experience working within a Family Law department at a firm of solicitors, or other relevant comparable experience
*A professional and confident telephone manner
*Good typing skills and experience using digital dictation
*A highly motivated approach to work
*Strong organisational skills
*The ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
*The ability to prioritise and manage workloads across multiple fee earners
