Full job descriptionProspero Teaching are looking for an experienced Primary Learning Mentor to work in a primary school in the Stechford area of Birmingham.

This is a full-time position starting September 2026, supporting pupils across school who require additional help with their behaviour, emotional wellbeing and engagement with learning.

The successful candidate will work with pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis, helping to remove barriers to learning, build confidence and encourage positive behaviour and relationships within school.

The Role
*Primary Learning Mentor
*Stechford, Birmingham
*Full time, Monday to Friday
*Start date: September 2026
*Long-term position
*1:1 and small-group interventions
*Supporting behaviour, wellbeing and engagement
*Working closely with teaching staff and the wider pastoral team

The Ideal Candidate

Previous experience working specifically as a Learning Mentor is essential for this role.

You should also have:
*Recent experience working with children in a school setting
*Strong behaviour management skills
*Experience supporting pupils with social, emotional or behavioural needs
*A confident, patient and positive approach
*The ability to build strong relationships with pupils
*An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one
*The ability to provide suitable references covering the required period
