Full job descriptionWe are seeking a diligent and professional Warehouse Operative to join our logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient operation of equipment and the execution of essential tasks related to the receiving, storage, and shipping of goods. Your contribution will be vital in maintaining high standards of inventory management, accurate order fulfillment, and the upkeep of a safe, highly organized warehouse environment.
Responsibilities*Perform daily warehouse activities including loading, unloading, and organizing stock.
*Utilize inventory tracking systems to ensure precision in all logistics records.
*Operate forklifts and other relevant machinery safely and effectively.
*Participate in a comprehensive induction and week-long training program covering manual handling, crane operations, and PPE standards.
*Maintain a strict commitment to health and safety protocols, including site conduct and emergency procedures.
Qualifications*Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is highly desirable.
*Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and operating warehouse equipment.
*Strong attention to detail and a commitment to operational excellence.
*Professional conduct regarding site rules, including the proper use of PPE and adherence to safety guidelines.
What We Offer*Competitive compensation: Basic pay rate of £13.83 per hour.
*Shift premiums: PM shift rate of £16.60 per hour; Night shift rate of £17.57 per hour.
