Our client in Ascot is looking for an organised, proactive and customer-focused Hire Controller to cover two plant hire sites.
Key Responsibilities
*Deal with customers face-to-face, by phone and email.
*Process plant and tool hire orders and sales.
*Maintain stock and ensure the yard/shop is clean and organised.
*Coordinate daily driver schedules and accommodate additional deliveries efficiently.
*Monitor driver performance, holidays and timekeeping.
*Assist with deliveries during busy periods.
*Ensure vehicles are serviced and have MOTs completed on time.
*Maintain high standards of health & safety and customer service.
*Monitor and improve operational KPIs.
*Support promotional events and new product initiatives.
About You
*Excellent communication and customer service skills.
*Experience in logistics, transport planning, plant hire or a similar environment.
*Highly organised with good attention to detail.
*Confident working independently and as part of a team.
*Good IT skills and able to learn new systems and products quickly.
*Strong problem-solving and planning skills.
*Reliable, accountable and focused on delivering excellent customer service.
