Full job descriptionA job opportunity has arisen for a Junior Application Support Analyst to join a highly established and rapidly expanding financial services organisation based in South Wales. The organisation is in an ambitious period of change and transformation, so this role offers great scope for career progression plus the opportunity to work on several interesting projects.
This position offers hybrid working and can be based at either the central Cardiff or Newport offices.

The Junior Application Support Analyst will help to maintain the stability, reliability and usability of critical business applications, while gaining hands-on experience across incident management, system monitoring, user support, testing, documentation and application deployments.

Key Responsibilities:
*Assisting in logging, investigating and resolving application incidents to agreed service levels
*Monitoring application performance and system alerts, escalating issues as and when required
*Providing support to users and helping to troubleshoot any application issues
*Maintaining and updating knowledge base articles, support guides and user documentation
*Supporting application releases and carrying out post-deployment checks
This role offers excellent scope for career progression, with the opportunity to learn application support, ITIL processes and testing as part of a highly successful and growing team.
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the following:
*You should either be a recent graduate with a degree in Computer Science / IT / Information Technology or a similar subject, or have some commercial experience working as a Junior Application Support Analyst or in a similar role (e.g. IT Graduate, Junior Software Developer etc.)
*Excellent communication and customer service skills
*An interest in IT systems and application support
*Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills
*If you have any experience using GitHub, supporting SaaS applications, this would be an advantage
*Any exposure to software testing and/or experience working in a Financial Services organisation/environment would also be an advantage
