Full job description**Learning Support Assistant - Primary School**
**No TA Qualification Required | Full-Time & Part-Time | Aspire People**

Do you have experience working with children but **don’t hold a formal Teaching Assistant qualification**?

Aspire People are recruiting **Learning Support Assistants** for primary schools and are interested in candidates with transferable experience from a range of child-focused backgrounds.

You could be a **youth worker, tutor, sports coach, childcare professional, mentor, nursery practitioner, children’s activity leader**, or someone who has previously worked within a school without holding a TA qualification.

What matters is your experience working with children and your ability to build positive relationships and support their development.

**The Role:**
* Supporting pupils within the classroom
* Providing 1:1 and small-group support
* Assisting with reading, writing, Maths, and classroom activities
* Supporting pupils with SEND where required
* Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement
* Helping pupils develop confidence and independence
* Working closely with teachers and support staff

**Transferable Backgrounds Could Include:**
* Youth work
* Tutoring
* Sports coaching
* Professional childcare
* Nursery work
* Mentoring
* Children’s activity programmes
* School volunteering

**We’re Looking For:**
* Recent experience working with children or young people
* Strong communication skills
* Patient and supportive approach
* Reliable and adaptable attitude
* Ability to build positive relationships
* Genuine interest in working within education
