Job Description:
Full job descriptionBerry recruitment are currently recruiting for Waste Porters to work in a Hospital based in Norwich.
Main responsibilities-
*The safe movement of hospital logistics stores and waste by use of electric vehicles around the hospital site as stated in the Service Level Specification.
*· Receipt, sort, store and prepare for collection all types of waste to ensure the efficient disposal as specified in company policies.
*Drive electric vehicles in specified areas adhering to Health and Safety procedures and work instructions. -
*Report machinery faults including pre-shift inspection of electric vehicles or Health and Safety hazards to the department team leader for action and resolution.
*Ensure that all work, records, and paperwork is carried out in line with Health and Safety, Quality and Serco and Trust policies and procedures.
*Participate as a full member of the logistics team, through supporting and carrying out training, working flexibly as required to cover other members of the team.
*Undertake other ad hoc duties as prescribed by the logistics manager and within scope of skill and capability
*Maintain accurate records and filing systems both manually and computer in a timely and effective manner.
Hours are 5 out of 7 days a week, 7am to 3pm.
Hourly rate is starting at £12.71.
