Full job description**Upper KS2 Teacher**

Are you an experienced Primary Teacher who thrives in **Upper KS2**?

Aspire People are currently recruiting teachers with strong KS2 experience for long-term opportunities from September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who enjoys preparing pupils for the next stage of their education, has strong curriculum knowledge, and is confident supporting pupils as they become increasingly independent learners.

Previous experience with **SATs preparation, assessment and upper-KS2 expectations** would be highly advantageous.

**The Role:**
* Taking responsibility for a Year 5 or Year 6 class
* Planning and delivering engaging, challenging lessons
* Preparing pupils for SATs where appropriate
* Using assessment to identify and address gaps in learning
* Differentiating lessons effectively
* Maintaining high expectations for behaviour and attainment
* Supporting pupils’ independence and transition to secondary education
* Working collaboratively with colleagues and support staff

**We’re Looking For:**
* QTS and recent UK primary teaching experience
* Strong Year 5 and/or Year 6 experience
* Excellent knowledge of the KS2 National Curriculum
* Understanding of SATs and assessment
* Strong classroom management skills
* High expectations of pupil progress and behaviour
* Ability to build positive relationships with pupils
