Full job descriptionWe are seeking an experienced and proactive Management Accountant to join a biotech organisation based in North Cambridge.

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in supporting the financial operations of the UK business, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong controls, and effective business partnering across the organisation.
You will be involved in both transactional and management accounting activities, supporting month-end processes, statutory reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities*Prepare accurate and timely month-end management accounts.
*Perform balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and journal postings.
*Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
*Reconcile supplier statements and resolve supplier queries.
*Coordinate supplier payment runs and credit control activities.
*Process bank transactions and perform bank reconciliations.
*Support project teams with revenue recognition and project cost tracking.
*Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns.
*Assist with annual budgeting, statutory accounts, and external audits.
*Assist with payroll-related reporting requirements.
*Provide financial information for group reporting, insurance renewals, and government surveys.
*Support intercompany transactions and stakeholder reporting requirements.
