Zero2Five are delighted to be working with a high-quality, independent day nursery in Hither Green, who are looking for a passionate and experienced Level 3 Room Leader to join their team and lead their Preschool Room.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced early years professional looking to lead a room, inspire and support a team, and make a real difference to children’s learning, development and wellbeing.What We’re Looking For*Level 3 Childcare qualification (essential)
*Minimum 2 years’ experience in an early years setting
*Strong knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding
*Experience working with preschool-aged children
*Passion for children’s learning and development
*Confident, organised and proactive approach
*Strong communication and teamwork skills
*Ability to lead and motivate a team
Room Leader Responsibilities*Take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the Preschool Room
*Lead and support the room team, creating a positive and welcoming environment
*Plan and deliver fun, engaging activities that support children’s learning and development
*Embed the EYFS into everyday practice
*Act as a Key Person, building strong relationships with children and families
*Complete observations, assessments and next steps
*Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment
*Support children’s independence, confidence and school readiness
*Build positive relationships with parents and carers
*Ensure safeguarding, health and safety procedures are followed
*Support and guide staff within the room
*Work closely with management to maintain high standards
*Attend training and contribute to the continuous improvement of the nursery
