Full job descriptionElevation Recruitment Group are working with an engineering business in Derby to recruit Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer.
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000
Location: Derby
Hours: Monday to Friday, Days Only (Flexible Hours Available)
We are seeking a proactive Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a busy engineering site where you’ll play a key role in maintaining and improving state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment and work within a specialist maintenance team, supporting production operations and driving continuous improvement across the site.
Key Responsibilities of the Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer
*Safe installation, maintenance, and repair of production equipment
*Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities
*Responding to breakdowns and restoring equipment efficiently
*Diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical faults
*Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site
*Ensuring all health and safety procedures are followed
*Assisting with safety testing and compliance activities
*Providing technical support and training to production teams
Skills & Experience Required
*Proven experience as a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing or production environment
*Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
*Experience working with motors, drives, testing, and investigative maintenance work
*Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and control wiring diagrams
*PLC experience would be advantageous but is not essential
*Hydraulic systems experience is highly desirable
*Strong problem-solving ability and a proactive approach to maintenance
