Full job descriptionA fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Accountant to join a lovely, relaxed independent accountancy practice based in Herne Bay.

This is a varied general practice position where you will manage a portfolio of owner managed businesses, providing a broad range of accounting and advisory services. The firm offers a friendly, supportive working environment with an excellent reputation and a genuinely relaxed culture.

Key responsibilities include:

*Preparing statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies

*Preparing corporation tax and personal tax returns

*Completing bookkeeping and VAT returns

*Managing a varied portfolio of owner managed business clients

*Liaising directly with clients and responding to queries

*Supporting and reviewing the work of junior team members where appropriate

*




Requirements*Have experience working within an accountancy practice

*Be AAT, ACA or ACCA qualified, part qualified, or qualified by experience

*Have a strong understanding of accounts preparation, tax, bookkeeping and VAT

*Be confident communicating directly with clients

*Have excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

*Enjoy working within a friendly, collaborative environment
