Stores CoordinatorLocation: Lowestoft, Suffolk (EA1 Offshore Windfarm)
Address: 1 Hamilton Road, Lowestoft, Suffolk, NR32 1XF
Contract: Temporary, 6 Months
Working Arrangement: Onsite
Shift Pattern: 7 Days On / 7 Days Off
Hours: 06:00 - 18:00 (12-hour shifts, 11.5 hours paid)
Rate: £16.00 per hour PAYE or £20.52 per hour Umbrella
Overtime: Paid at 150% (Time and a Half)
About the RoleWe are currently recruiting for an experienced Stores Coordinator to support operations at the EA1 Offshore Windfarm in Lowestoft.
Working within the site logistics and operations team, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient management of materials, tools, equipment and inventory to support critical offshore maintenance and operational activities. This position is ideal for candidates with previous experience in stores, warehouse, materials control or logistics environments, particularly within offshore wind, renewable energy, marine, engineering or other safety-critical industries.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a major renewable energy project and contribute to the continued success of offshore wind operations.
Key Responsibilities*Receive, inspect, unload and store incoming deliveries in line with company procedures.
*Pick, pack, issue and dispatch materials to support operational and vessel requirements.
*Maintain accurate stock records and inventory movements using SAP and associated systems.
*Carry out routine stock counts, cycle counts and annual inventory audits.
*Investigate stock discrepancies and support corrective actions.
*Prepare and maintain export, import and dangerous goods documentation where required.
*Safely package tools, equipment, parts and consumables for transportation offshore.
*Ensure materials and equipment are stored correctly and remain available for operational use.
*Monitor calibrated tools and equipment, maintaining certification records and quarantining non-compliant items.
*Support LOLER inspection processes and assist with the control of lifting equipment.
*Maintain excellent housekeeping standards using 5S principles.
*Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality requirements.
*Report hazards, incidents and near misses promptly.
*Work closely with offshore and onshore operations teams to minimise operational downtime.
*Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inventory accuracy and stores efficiency.
Essential Skills & Experience*Previous experience within stores, warehouse, materials control or logistics operations.
*Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage changing priorities.
*Good understanding of health and safety practices within industrial, warehouse or operational environments.
*Excellent attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy.
*Experience using SAP and Microsoft Office applications.
*Ability to work independently and as part of a wider operational team.
*Strong commitment to safe working practices, compliance and housekeeping standards.
Desirable Skills & Experience*Experience within the offshore wind, renewable energy, marine or engineering sectors.
*Knowledge of warehouse management and inventory control systems.
*Experience handling dangerous goods documentation and compliance requirements.
*Familiarity with LOLER regulations and lifting equipment controls.
*Experience implementing or working within 5S environments.
