Temporary to Permanent | Immediate Start | Poole
We are looking for a reliable and practical Stores Person to join a busy and well-established manufacturing business in Poole.
This is a hands-on role within the stores and warehouse function, but it would particularly suit someone who is practical, mechanically minded and happy to help out across the wider business when required.
The RoleWorking as part of a small team, you will be responsible for keeping the stores operation running efficiently and making sure the production team has the materials they need.
The role will include:
*Receiving deliveries and checking goods coming into the business
*Putting stock and materials away correctly
*Picking and preparing materials for production
*Keeping the stores area organised and stock levels maintained
*Moving materials around the site
*Loading and unloading vehicles
*Preparing goods and materials for dispatch
*General warehouse and stores duties
*Helping with stock checks and maintaining accurate records
*Assisting the production team when required
*Carrying out practical, hands-on tasks around the workshop
*Using hand and power tools where required
*Helping to keep the working environment clean, tidy and safe
What We’re Looking ForIdeally, you will have previous experience working in stores, warehousing, stock control or a similar environment.
More importantly, we’re looking for someone who is:
*Practical and hands-on
*Organised and methodical
*Reliable and dependable
*Physically fit and comfortable with a manual role
*Happy working both independently and as part of a small team
*Flexible and willing to help wherever needed
*Confident working in a busy, practical environment
A full UK manual driving licence is essential.
A forklift licence would be an advantage but is not essential.
