This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and growing independent accountancy practice with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality advice to owner-managed businesses across the North West.

The firm is looking to appoint a Senior Accountant to manage a portfolio of clients, providing a proactive and professional service while working closely with senior leadership. This role is ideal for an experienced practice accountant looking for greater ownership, client interaction and long-term career progression within a collaborative team.

The RoleAs a Senior Accountant, you’ll take responsibility for your own client portfolio, building trusted relationships while ensuring a consistently high level of service.

Responsibilities will include:

*Managing a portfolio of owner-managed business clients from start to finish
*Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts
*Preparing corporation tax returns
*Acting as the primary point of contact for clients
*Leading client meetings and providing proactive accounting advice
*Preparing accounts in accordance with FRS 102 and FRS 105
*Managing deadlines and ensuring timely delivery of work
*Working closely with Managers and Directors on more complex assignments
*Identifying opportunities to add value through advisory services
*Supporting junior members of the team where required

The Candidate

The successful candidate will ideally have:

*ACA or ACCA qualified (or qualified by experience)
*Strong experience within UK accountancy practice
*Previous experience managing a portfolio of clients independently
*Excellent knowledge of FRS 102 and FRS 105
*Experience preparing corporation tax returns
*Strong client-facing and relationship management skills
*Experience leading client meetings
*Personal tax experience would be advantageous but is not essential
*Excellent communication and organisational skills
