The Opportunity
Are you an experienced 5 Axis CNC Machinist with strong setting, operating and programming skills looking for a weekend-based role? Workshop Recruitment is recruiting for a well-established engineering manufacturer producing high-performance composite components for advanced industries. This Weekend 5 Axis CNC Machinist role offers a flexible 36 or 40-hour working week across Friday to Sunday, with a strong hourly rate, shift allowance and overtime opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
*Set up and operate 5-axis CNC machines.
*Machine epoxy/PU patterns, fixtures and carbon components.
*Program and edit CNC code for complex components.
*Interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
*Inspect finished components to ensure quality standards.
*Follow SOPs and machining procedures.
*Troubleshoot machining issues and perform routine maintenance.
*Maintain accurate production and tooling records.
Skills & Knowledge Required
*Proven experience as a CNC Machinist with 5-axis machining.
*Confident setting, operating and programming CNC machinery.
*Strong understanding of machining processes and materials.
*Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
*Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
*Good communication and teamwork.
*Commitment to safe working practices.
*Flexibility to work overtime when required.
Hours & Benefits
*Friday to Sunday – 36 or 40 hours per week, with flexibility.
*£19–£23 per hour depending on experience with a £5 per hour shift allowance.
*Overtime paid at time and a half.
*20 days’ holiday plus Bank Holidays, increasing to 25 days plus Bank Holidays.
*Additional benefits available.
