Mechanical Maintenance Engineer. We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a well - established and growing building services company, covering the London area.
This is a hands-on position carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across a range of mechanical building services and M&E systems. You’ll be responsible for fault finding, servicing and maintaining mechanical plant while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
The Role
As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
*Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance
*Servicing and maintaining mechanical plant and building services equipment
*Fault finding and diagnosing mechanical issues
*Servicing pumps and pressurisation units
*Carrying out routine service inspections in accordance with PPM schedules
*Responding to breakdowns and call-outs
*Identifying faults and completing necessary remedial works
*Producing reports and relevant certification
*Completing and maintaining site logbooks
*Ensuring work complies with Health & Safety requirements and risk assessments
*Liaising with customers and tenants while on site
*Supporting small works and projects where required
*Minimising repeat visits through effective fault diagnosis and repair
What We’re Looking For
You should have previous experience working within mechanical building services, facilities management or an M&E maintenance environment.
Ideally, you will have:
*Relevant mechanical engineering qualifications
*Experience maintaining mechanical M&E systems
*Strong mechanical fault-finding skills
*Experience carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance
*Experience servicing pumps and pressurisation units
*Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements
*Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
*Good communication and customer service skills
*Flexibility to undertake occasional out-of-hours and weekend work
