Duties & Responsibilities:
*Dealing with suppliers
*Relaying relevant information to both Customer Service and Transport Teams via email and phone
*Optimise routing to ensure the most profitable solution for container movements
*Communicating with Ports and Terminals
*Ensuring correct revenue and costs for movements completed
*Adhere to cut-off times; both internal and external
*Liaise with the Team to ensure most efficient planning
We are looking for candidates to apply who have the following:
*Previous experience as a Transport Planner – ideal but not essential
*Confident and clear communicator – written and verbal
*Good UK geographical knowledge
*Can work on own initiative but also as part of a team
*Quick and efficient problem solving skills
*Organised at all times
*Flexibility to meet the demands of the business
