Job Description:
Full job descriptionWe are recruiting for an Assistant Commercial (Porcurement) Manager to join a major London public sector organisation on an interim basis. This role sits within the Procurement & Commercial team and will support the delivery of procurement activities across a diverse portfolio of projects, providing commercial support, research, analysis and procurement administration to help deliver successful procurement outcomes.
Key Details
• Contract: Until 18 December 2026
• Location: North Greenwich, London (1 day per week in the office on Wednesdays, 4 days WFH)
• Rate: £256.80 PAYE / £350 Umbrella per day (Inside IR35)
• Start Date: ASAP
• Interview: One-stage MS Teams interview
The Role
You’ll support Commercial Managers with a range of procurement activities across multiple projects. This will include undertaking research and analysis, supporting procurement strategies, preparing procurement documentation, assisting with tender exercises and evaluations, and engaging with stakeholders to ensure procurement activities are delivered effectively and compliantly. The role offers an excellent opportunity to develop procurement and commercial expertise within a large public sector organisation.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to quickly understand and apply new concepts.
• Positive attitude with a collaborative and team-focused approach.

Desirable Experience
• Some procurement experience.
• Exposure to public sector procurement environments.
• Experience supporting larger procurement projects or tender exercises.
• Graduate-level experience with procurement or commercial exposure.
• Experience undertaking research, analysis and procurement documentation activities.
