The Role
Are you a visionary leader ready to take the reins of a growing manufacturing business?
This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced General Manager to join a dynamic organisation poised for its next stage of aggressive growth.
Reporting directly to the Group CEO, you’ll take full leadership of the business, overseeing a senior leadership team across operations, production, and back-office functions.
This high-impact role requires strategic insight and operational expertise to drive performance, innovation, and profitability in a fast-paced and competitive sector.


Key Responsibilities
*Provide overall strategic direction and leadership to the business, ensuring alignment with the wider group’s objectives and long-term vision.
*Lead and inspire a senior leadership team across operations, production, and back-office support, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
*Develop and execute growth strategies to scale the business, targeting new markets, increasing capacity, and driving operational efficiencies.
*Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring production schedules, quality standards, and customer commitments are met or exceeded.
*Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all areas of the business, leveraging Lean Manufacturing and other methodologies to optimise processes.
*Take full P&L accountability, ensuring sustainable profitability through effective cost control, resource allocation, and investment planning.
*Build and maintain key relationships with stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and group leadership, ensuring alignment and strong communication.
*Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities and mitigate risks, positioning the business as a market leader.
*Champion a culture of health, safety, and quality, maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.


Your Background
*Proven experience in a senior leadership role within manufacturing, such as General Manager, Operations Director, or a similar operational leadership position.
*Strong background in managing multi-disciplinary teams, including operations, production, and support functions.
*Track record of delivering growth and profitability in a manufacturing environment, with experience in scaling businesses.
*Expertise in Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
*Strong commercial acumen with full P&L responsibility and a focus on driving financial performance.
*Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
*Strategic mindset with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
*Residing in or willing to relocate to Redditch or the surrounding area.
