Technical Investigation Engineer / Broadband Engineer Ipswich (Hybrid - 3 days onsite)
6 Month Contract
Inside IR35
My client, a leading telecommunications company, is looking for a Technical Investigation Engineer to investigate and resolve complex issues affecting broadband routers, Home Hubs, Wi-Fi services, and customer connectivity products.
Skills & Experience*Strong experience supporting or troubleshooting broadband CPE devices, including routers, gateways and Home Hubs
*Experience investigating faults across broadband, Wi-Fi, Digital Voice and home networking environments
*Strong Linux and Python skills
*Good understanding of TCP/IP networking, FTTP, IPv4/IPv6 and related broadband technologies
*Experience analysing logs, packet captures, crash dumps and system diagnostics
*Knowledge of Wi-Fi standards, RF fundamentals, Wi-Fi chipsets and driver troubleshooting
*Experience with TR-069 / TR-369 device management technologies
*Familiarity with Jira, Git, GitLab and automated testing environments
*Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving skills
*Ability to work closely with engineering teams, developers and third-party suppliers to drive issues through to resolution
