Salary: £30,000 - £35,000
This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the North Easts leading multidisciplined RIBA chartered practices who offer a wide range of expertise to the residential, masterplanning, commercial, and education sectors. They are on the lookout for a talented Urban Designer to hit the ground running for their team in Newcastle.

Duties for the role of Urban Designer include:
*Supporting the preparation of masterplans, frameworks and urban design proposals
*Producing plans, diagrams, presentations and design material
*Undertaking site and contextual analysis
*Assisting with feasibility studies and design development
*Contributing to design codes, design guidance and planning documents
*Supporting the preparation of planning applications and associated material
*Producing high-quality visualisations and presentation material
*Working collaboratively with architects, planners, consultants and clients
Skills and experience for the role of Urban Designer:
*A relevant degree in Urban Design, Town Planning, Architecture, Landscape Architecture or a related discipline
*Relevant experience as an Urban Designer within a UK Practice or consultancy
*A genuine interest in urban design, placemaking and the built environment
*Strong graphic and presentation skills
*Proficiency with AutoCAD and Sketchup
*An understanding of masterplanning principles and spatial design
*Good written and verbal communication skills
*A creative and analytical approach to problem solving
*Good attention to detail and an ability to manage deadlines
*The ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
