Full job descriptionAssistant Client Manager - Manchester - £45,000 - £55,000I’m working on an exciting opportunity for an ACA/ACCA-qualified accountant who is ready to step beyond the traditional Senior Accountant role and take ownership of a portfolio, develop client relationships and lead a team.The firm is a confidential progressive accountancy and business advisory firm, with offices across the UK and a reputation for creating a genuinely supportive and people-focused working environment.
What particularly caught my attention about this role is the balance between client responsibility, leadership and culture. You’ll have the autonomy to manage your own portfolio while working closely with experienced Directors and colleagues across the wider business.
What you’ll be doing*Managing a varied portfolio of clients, including owner-managed businesses
*Acting as a trusted point of contact and becoming someone clients rely on for advice
*Overseeing the delivery of accounts and wider services
*Leading, coaching and developing members of the accounts team
*Working alongside Directors and other departments to deliver the best possible service
*Identifying opportunities to strengthen existing relationships and support business growth
What they’re looking forThis role would suit an ACA/ACCA-qualified Senior Accountant or Assistant Manager who is ready to take on more responsibility.
You’ll ideally have:
*Strong experience within an accountancy practice
*Experience managing a varied client portfolio
*Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
*The confidence to lead and support junior team members
*A commercial and client-focused mindset
*Experience working with owner-managed businesses
*Knowledge of CCH would be advantageous
