A growing accountancy practice based in Chelmsford is looking to appoint a Bookkeeper to join their team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with clients and wants the flexibility of working predominantly remotely, with only occasional travel to the Chelmsford office required.
Responsibilities:
As a Bookkeeper, you will...
*Managing bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients, predominantly within the construction sector
*Processing sales and purchase invoices, bank transactions, reconciliations and journals
*Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records for clients
*Preparing VAT returns and supporting clients with their day-to-day accounting requirements
*Liaising directly with clients to resolve queries and provide practical bookkeeping support
*Assisting with month-end processes and providing information for management accounts and year-end accounts
Requirements:
As a Bookkeeper, you will need...
*Previous bookkeeping experience, within an accountancy practice
*Experience working with construction clients would be highly advantageous
*Experience using accounting software such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks or similar
