Job Type: Full-time, Temporary (until October half term)
We are seeking a Maths Teacher to join our team on a temporary basis, responsible for teaching GCSE resits and functional skills to 16-19 year olds. The role will be split between our Poole campus (Monday to Wednesday) and our Bournemouth campus (Thursday to Friday).
Day-to-day of the role:
Deliver engaging and effective lessons to students resitting their GCSE Maths or undertaking functional skills courses.
Prepare lesson plans and instructional materials tailored to meet the needs of students at varying levels of ability.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and additional support as needed.
Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning.
Collaborate with other teaching staff to share best practices and resources.
Keep accurate records of student attendance, assessments, and progress.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience teaching Maths at GCSE level or similar.
Strong understanding of the curriculum and assessment methods for GCSE Maths and functional skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to engage and inspire students from diverse backgrounds.
Organisational skills to manage teaching responsibilities across two campuses.
