Full job descriptionSenior Accountant - Confidential Opportunity - £42,000 - £50,000ACA/ACCA qualified and considering your next move in practice?
I’m currently recruiting for a Senior Accountant position with a growing mid-tier accountancy and business advisory firm.
This is a role for someone who wants to move beyond simply preparing accounts and become a trusted adviser to their clients. You’ll work with a varied portfolio of businesses, build meaningful client relationships and have the opportunity to develop your commercial and leadership skills.
The opportunityYou’ll work closely with Managers and Directors, taking responsibility for a broad range of client work, including:
*Preparing year-end financial statements
*Calculating corporation and personal tax liabilities
*Identifying tax planning opportunities
*Advising clients on accounting processes and ways to improve efficiency
*Managing and developing long-term client relationships
*Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider business
*Coaching and supporting accounts trainees
The variety of the client base means you’ll get exposure to different businesses and challenges, making this a great opportunity for someone who enjoys understanding how businesses operate rather than simply completing the numbers.
Who would suit this role?The ideal candidate will be:
*ACA or ACCA qualified
*Experienced within an accountancy practice
*Comfortable working with a varied portfolio, including owner-managed businesses
*Confident communicating directly with clients
*Commercially minded and interested in providing advice, not just compliance
*Keen to develop their leadership skills and support more junior colleagues
*Technically strong and comfortable with accounting technology; CCH experience would be beneficial
