Job Description:
Full job descriptionReed Technology is supporting a company based in Edinburgh, as they look to hire a Senior User Experience Researcher.
In this role you’ll work alongside a multidisciplinary team to understand user needs, identify opportunities for improvements and ensure services are designed around the people who use them.
Key responsibilities:
*Leading user research across discovery, alpha, beta and live phases.
*Planning and conducting interviews, usability testing, contextual research and workshops.
*Working closely with multidisciplinary teams to shape products and services.
*Synthesising research findings into clear insights and recommendations.
*Helping teams understand the needs, behaviours and priorities of users.
*Supporting service design, product and delivery decisions through evidence.
*Helping develop reusable approaches, patterns and delivery assets that strengthen future projects.
Requirements:
*Solid experience delivering user research within complex digital or service transformation programmes.
*Experience working as part of multidisciplinary teams.
*Strong understanding of Government Digital Service principles, service standards and user-centred design practices.
*Experience planning and delivering a range of qualitative research activities.
*Strong analysis and synthesis skills, with the ability to turn findings into actionable recommendations.
*Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
*Experience working with a broad range of stakeholders, including senior decision makers.
*A strong understanding of accessibility, inclusion and designing for diverse user needs.
Benefits:
*Permanent position.
*Salary ranging from £55.000 to £65.000 / year.
*Hybrid working model - 2 days onsite per week in Edinburgh.
