Up to £40K basic, uncapped commission
Our client is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to support its continued growth. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who loves the new-business side of sales and wants to focus on winning clients rather than managing accounts long term. This is a pure new-business position focused on identifying, approaching and securing new clients.
You’ll take ownership of the complete business development journey, from prospecting and initial conversations through to meetings and commercial negotiations. You will:
*Identify and develop new business opportunities with prospective clients
*Build relationships with HR professionals, hiring managers and senior decision-makers
*Proactively engage prospects through telephone, email, LinkedIn and other channels
*Arrange and conduct new-business meetings
*Understand prospective clients’ recruitment challenges and requirements
*Present recruitment solutions and communicate a compelling commercial proposition
*Negotiate commercial agreements and secure signed Terms & Conditions
*Convert new clients and generate their first workable recruitment requirement
*Collaborate with the wider recruitment team to ensure a seamless client handover
*Develop and maintain a healthy pipeline of prospective business
The ideal candidate will have:
*A successful background in business development, B2B sales or recruitment
*A demonstrable track record of generating and converting new business
*Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders and decision-makers
*Strong prospecting, relationship-building and negotiation skills
*A target-driven approach and desire to exceed expectations
*Resilience, determination and the confidence to create opportunities from scratch
*Excellent communication and organisational skills
*Previous recruitment experience would be highly advantageous, particularly if you have experience building a desk or developing clients from scratch. However, this isn’t essential
Working hours are Monday to Thursday 8:30am to 6pm, Fridays – 8:30am to 5:30pm
1 day WFH once trained.
