Full job descriptionSenior Flood Modeller - Manchester | £45,000-£55,000A specialist environmental consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Flood Modeller to join their team in Manchester. The role will involve working across a range of flood risk, hydraulic modelling and environmental projects throughout the UK.
The Role:
*Undertake 1D and 2D hydraulic modelling for fluvial and surface water flood risk projects.
*Develop and run models using Flood Modeller and TUFLOW.
*Prepare Flood Risk Assessments, technical reports and modelling outputs.
*Analyse and interpret model results and provide technical recommendations.
*Manage modelling projects from initial data review through to completion.
*Liaise with clients, regulators and other project stakeholders.
*Support and mentor junior members of the team.
*Assist with project scopes, fee proposals and bids where required.
The Candidate:
*Experience working within flood risk and hydraulic modelling.
*Strong experience using Flood Modeller, with TUFLOW experience advantageous.
*Good understanding of fluvial and surface water flood risk.
*Experience producing technical reports and interpreting modelling outputs.
*Relevant degree in Hydrology, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or a related subject.
*Strong communication skills and the ability to manage your own workload and projects.
