Full job descriptionWe are partnering with a well-established events business delivering high-quality experiences, to recruit a proactive Assistant Accountant.
This role offers broad exposure across financial reporting, event finance, and operational support, making it well-suited to someone looking to develop their career in a dynamic environment.
You will contribute to the accuracy of financial information, support key processes such as month-end, and work closely with operational teams to ensure financial performance is effectively monitored.
Key Responsibilities
*Oversee the end-to-end accounts payable and receivable processes, including billing, credit control and reconciliations.
*Manage daily banking, treasury and intra-group reconciliations.
*Support month-end close, management accounts, forecasting and long-term planning.
*Assist with statutory accounts, audit and Group reporting.
*Liaise with internal teams to resolve financial queries and ensure accurate, timely reporting.
*Support HR administration, including absence and employee benefits.
Candidate Profile
*Part-qualified (AAT, ACCA, CIMA, or ACA) or actively studying
*Strong understanding of core accounting principles
*Previous experience in a fast-paced or project-based environment is desirable
*Proficient in Excel and familiar with accounting systems
*Strong attention to detail with good analytical skills
*Proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities
